COMMISSIONER MICHAEL GILLERAN
Michael Gilleran, the league's first full-time commissioner, is in his twenty-fourth season with the West Coast Conference, having started in January of 1984 after an eight-year stint in the enforcement department of the NCAA. The Seattle native, has instituted progressive improvements ranging from the formation of a women's league to instituting post-season basketball tournaments complete with national television coverage to expansion of the conference office staff. The league has gained national prominence in its 13 sports, including annual appearances in the NCAAs and regular shots at national championships. Prior to joining the WCC, Gilleran served as an enforcement representative and later as assistant director of enforcement for the NCAA. During his time with the national governing body he personally conducted investigations and supervised a part-time staff of 25 former FBI agents. Gilleran is a 1971 journalism graduate of Seattle University, where he played varsity basketball. After earning his Law degree at the University of Puget Sound in 1975 he had a stint playing pro basketball in France. (mgilleran@westcoast.org)

Associate Commissioner/SWA WENDY GUTHRIE
Wendy Guthrie came to the West Coast Conference in October of 2007 after a stint as the Assistant Director for Administration of the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University. Guthrie, who served as Athletic Director at Seattle University from 2004-06, is no stranger to the West Coast Conference, having served as Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator at the University of San Diego from 1996-2002. A leading architect in establishing the Pacific Coast Softball Conference, which includes four teams from West Coast Conference member institutions, Guthrie has served as commissioner since its inception in 2002. She has also served as a faculty member in the Sport Management Graduate Program at the University of San Francisco. A native of Salem, Oregon, Guthrie received her bachelor's degree in business administration from Whittier College in 1991, and earned her master's degree in athletic administration from Springfield College in 1995. Director of Communications JAE WILSON
Jae Wilson was hired as the Director of Communications for the West Coast Conference in May of 2004. Wilson heads up the WCC's media relations efforts, including all of the conference's media publications and maintenance of the league's website. Wilson, who served as a Communications Assistant for the WCC from June 2002-October 2003, held the position of Media Relations Assistant in the Stanford University athletic department prior to returning to the WCC. Before serving as a Communications Assistant for the WCC in 2002, Wilson worked as a media relations intern for Maloof Sports and Entertainment. A native of Loleta, Calif., Wilson is a graduate of Sonoma State University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in communication studies. Director of Championships ELLEN MOORE
Ellen Moore returned to the West Coast Conference in October of 2006 as the WCC's Director of Championships. Moore serves as the director of the conference's six championship events and is the conference liaison for several coaches' groups including cross country, golf, tennis, and rowing and the athletic trainer's group. Moore's duties also include overseeing the WCC's awards committee, the licensing program, the merchandise program, and various conference publications. Moore comes to the WCC after serving as the Programs and Projects Coordinator at San Jose State University. Prior to her time at San Jose State, she was on the West Coast Conference staff as a communications assistant during the 2004-05 school year. Moore received her undergraduate degree in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech, where she was a four-year letterwinner on the Yellow Jackets' softball team. She received her master's degree in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco, and was a graduate assistant for promotions and marketing in the USF athletic department. Director of Compliance CHRISTINE HALSEY
Christine Halsey returned to the West Coast Conference as the Director of Compliance in October of 2007 after serving as Assistant Commissioner for Compliance and Senior Woman Administrator at the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). She previously served as a Championships and Marketing assistant at the WCC from 2003-04. Halsey oversees all areas of WCC compliance and enforcement, including rules education, interpretations, National Letter of Intent programs, secondary violations, and eligibility waivers as well as serving as the liaison to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Halsey competed in cross country and track & field at Vanderbilt University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in communication studies. She earned her master's degree in Sport Management at the University of San Francisco. Halsey and her husband Brad reside in Mountain View, CA. (chalsey@westcoast.org)

Assistant Director of Communications WILLIAM KISS
William Kiss returned to the WCC media relations staff in June of 2005, and currently serves as the WCC's Assistant Director of Communications. Kiss is responsible for all media duties related to WCC men's soccer, women's basketball, and baseball. In addition to his sport responsibilities, Kiss assists with the writing and editing of all of the WCC's publications and maintenance of the league's website. Kiss was a Communications Assistant with the WCC from March of 2003 to June of 2004 before serving a year on the media relations staff at Stanford University. Kiss also served as a public relations assistant for the Oakland Raiders from 2001-2002. Kiss graduated from the University of San Francisco in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in history, and received his master's degree in Sport Management from USF in 2002. Coordinator of Men's Basketball Officiating JACK DITTY
Jack Ditty, who spent 27 years as an active official, joined the conference staff to oversee men's basketball officiating in 1998. He was the first official representing the WCC to work in the NCAA Final Four.

Coordinator of Women's Basketball Officiating DANA SENDERS
Dana Senders made six appearances in the NCAA tournament in eight years as part of her 25 years of officiating experience and joined the WCC to guide the women's basketball officials program in 1997.

Director of Women's Volleyball Officiating KAREN GEE
Karen Gee serves double duty as the director of volleyball officiating for the WCC and as a Vice President for the officiating division of USA Volleyball.

Tom Hiler enters his third year as the coordinator of baseball umpires.

Championships & Marketing Assistant WHITNEY STRAIN
Whitney Strain joined the West Coast Conference in July of 2007 as the Championships and Marketing Assistant. A native of Denver, Strain comes to the WCC after graduating from the University of Iowa in the spring of 2007 with a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication and a bachelor's of business administration in business marketing. With the WCC, Strain will assist with the league's marketing and sponsorship efforts and help facilitate all conference championships. Along with her work in marketing and championships, Strain will assist with SAAC, awards and the WCC merchandise program. A four-year letterwinner on the women's soccer team at Iowa, Strain has served previous internships at Fox Sports Net Rocky Mountain and in the sports department at NBC 11 in San Jose, CA. Communications Assistant KATIE GLUNT
Katie Glunt joined the West Coast Conference in September 2007 as the Communications Assistant. Glunt is a 2006 graduate of Oregon State University, and comes to the WCC after earning her bachelor's degree in Speech Communication and Athletic Administration. A native of Windsor, CA, Glunt will serve as the media contact for WCC volleyball, cross country, and tennis. Glunt will also assist in media duties for basketball, maintenance of the conference website, writing and editing of WCC publications and preparation and administration of conference championships. Glunt has served previous internships with the Sonoma State University Athletics Department in Sports Information, and the Oregon State Athletics Department in Event Management. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Sport Management at the University of San Francisco. (kglunt@westcoast.org)

Sports Administration Assistant DOUG MCCOLLUM
Doug McCollum joined the West Coast Conference as the Sports Administration Assistant in November 2007. The native of Orangevale, CA is a 2006 graduate of Marquette University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Criminology and Law Studies with a minor in Human Resources Management. With the WCC, McCollum will assist with the facilitation of the league's coaches groups, conference scheduling, and the monitoring of officiating programs for all of the WCC's round-robin sports. McCollum was a Group Events Coordinator for the Sacramento River Cats prior to coming to the WCC, and also serves as an Event Manager for Stanford University athletics. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in Sport Management at the University of San Francisco. (dmccollum@westcoast.org)
