Gonzaga fell to No. 14 San Diego, 3-2, in its final home match of the season.
Freshman Courtney Peacock scored her third goal of season, while sophomore Caitlyn Salo became the fifth Zag to record her first career netter as the Bulldogs dropped to 7-10-2 overall and 2-4-0 in the WCC.
Gonzaga lost its second one-goal decision to a nationally ranked team this season after dropping a 1-0 decision at No. 21 ranked University of Colorado on Sept. 19.
Sophomore MF Sheridan Jones picked up her team-leading fourth assist of season and continues to own the team-lead in points with 10.

The Lions improved to 9-6-3 overall and 4-2-0 in WCC play with a 2-0 win over San Francisco.
LMU is assured of its third consecutive winning WCC season and at least a share of third place in the regular season standings.
The Lions got goals in each half from senior D Amanda Lernor and junior D Kristen Garcia in the win over San Francisco. The goals marked the first career scores for Lernor and Garcia.
Junior GK Allyssa Clark posted four saves against the Dons in registering her seventh clean sheet of the season. Clark's seven shutouts ranks third in the WCC, while her 91 saves on the season are second most in the conference.

The Waves earned an impressive 4-0 win over Saint Mary's in their lone match last week.
Senior F Amanda Rupp scored a goal and assisted on two other scores in the win over the Gaels. Rupp now ranks second in the WCC in points with 28 (10 goals, 8 assists).
Freshman F Laura Cole scored a goal in both halves to lead the Waves past the Gaels. The two goals give Cole six on the season, tying her for sixth in the WCC and second among conference freshmen in goals.
Senior Emily Wynne assisted on Rupp's goal, giving her 20 for her career. She is second to Rupp on the team this season with five assists.
The Waves host San Francisco (11/8) to end the regular season.

The Pilots extended their winning streak to 15 matches in front of a national television audience with a convincing 4-0 win over rival Santa Clara.
The Pilots, who started their winning streak with a 1-0 win over then-No. 1 USC, have out-scored their opponents 51-2 during the span.
Sophomore Jessica Tsao assisted on three of the team's four goals, matching her career total entering the game.
Sophomore Sophie Schmidt continued her torrid scoring streak with two of the team's four goals including her third consecutive game-winner.
The Pilots travel to San Diego (11/8) with the WCC title on the line this weekend. |

Saint Mary's suffered a 4-0 setback versus Pepperdine in its lone match last week.
This season, Saint Mary's has had a flair for the dramatic. In all eight wins, SMC's game-winning goal has come in the final 25 minutes of play, with seven goals coming in the final five minutes of play. The Gaels have five overtime goals and a 5-0-2 record in seven overtime games.
Junior MF Ashley Nied has tallied four game-winning goals this season, tying her for second in the conference.

The Toreros ran their winning streak to seven straight with a 3-2 win over Gonzaga.
Senior forward Jen Mello led the Toreros versus Gonzaga with two goals, including the game-winning strike. Mello leads the Toreros and ranks second in the WCC with 11 goals on the season. Mello now leads the WCC in game-winning goals with five.
San Diego has the second best record through the first 19 matches in program history at 14-3-2 (.789) overall, tying the 1999 squad who began the season 15-4-0 (.789) through the first 19 matches. USD's record only trails last season's team, who was 14-2-3 (.815) at this point.
USD's six conference wins are the most in program history.

San Francisco dropped a 2-0 decision to Loyola Marymount in its lone match last week.
Freshman F Nicole Moore leads the Dons with four goals, three of which have been game-winning scores.
LMU out shot the Dons 13-8 in the match, but USF held the corner kick advantage 6-3.
With five victories on the season, USF has more than doubled its 2007 win total of two.
Senior MF Katherine Kimure led all Dons with five shots, and increases her team leading total to 48.

The Broncos concluded the road half of the 2008 campaign this past weekend with a 4-0 loss at No. 4 Portland.
This will be the first time in 20 seasons, under the helm of veteran Head Coach Jerry Smith, that SCU will not advance to the NCAA Tournament. This season the Broncos encountered a schedule with nine ranked opponents and suffered many season ending injuries to key players.
Junior forward Kiki Bosio was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VIII First Team for her outstanding performance both on the field and in the classroom. This is a first-time honor for the Bronco tri-captain, who boasts a 3.89 overall GPA as an accounting major. Bosio injured her LCL and was forced to miss the final five games of the season.
