University of Portland sophomores Erin Misaki and Lauren Orlandos were named second-team all-Americans by the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America), the national group announced Thursday.

Misaki and Orlandos led Portland to the 2000 NCAA Women's College Cup, and the Pilots finished 18-4-0 after a 1-0 semifinal loss to UCLA.

Misaki, a midfielder, was the West Coast Conference co-Player of the Year, while Orlandos was the WCC Defender of the Year. Misaki scored four goals and added eight assists, while Orlandos added four goals and three assists. Orlandos and Misaki were instrumental in Portlands post-season drive, as the Pilots allowed just three goals in their final 10 games, and just nine in the entire season.

The two sophomores become just the fifth and sixth Pilots to earn NSCAA all-America status, following Tiffeny Milbrett (1991, 1992, 1994), Shannon MacMillan (1992, 1993, 1994, 1995), Justi Baumgardt (1995, 1996), and Erin Fahey (1996).
