Nov 9- The Saint Mary's women's rowing team competed in the Redhead Regatta in Redwood City, and finished the varsity-4, K-race in second and fourth place

The Saint Mary's A-boat finished with a time of 19:0. to finish just a tenth of a second behind Santa Clara. lt;pgt; The Saint Mary's A women's 4 boat with co-captains Breezy Jackson and Lindsay Juricich and sophomore Courtney Smith and freshman Laura Burke lost by the slimmest of margins over 000 meters. This line-up had practiced together just two days prior to the race. lt;pgt; With an aggressive start, the SMC A-boat passed Santa Clara's B boat a third of the way into the race. Coxswain Amy Bellman did a great job steering the course having never coxed in a fall race before. lt;pgt; Impressive finish for the second boat which only fell to Santa Clara's B-boat by eight seconds, as two freshman stepping up to race in the varsity boat with only four weeks of rowing experience. The SMC B-boat was led by Dana Smith, who rowed at ZLAC in high school and by recruit Lindsey Anderson from Mercer Island, Washington. lt;Pgt;13; lt;Pgt;13; lt;Pgt;
