Cox, who is a three-time National Team member, graduated from USD in 2001 after earning CRCA Division I Second Team All-America honors her senior year. The three-time Torero MVP competed for the U.S. at the Nation's Cup (Copenhagen, Denmark) in 2000 with the women's four winning the gold medal; she also competed at the World Rowing Championships (Lucerne, Switzerland), with the fours placing fourth.

Cox, who trains out of Princeton, New Jersey, will be teamed with six other members of Princeton TC - Mary Whipple, Kate MacKenzie, Maite Urtasun, Bernadette Marten, Dana Peirce and Kate Johnson. The team is rounded out by Caryn Davies (Radcliffe Crew) and Anna Mickelson (U. of Washington).

Twenty-four events will be contested at this year's world championships with the U.S. racing in 23. Last year, the U.S. won four medals at the world championships including silver medals in the lightweight women's quadruple sculls and lightweight women's pair, and bronze medals in the women's quadruple sculls and lightweight men's eight.
