Gonzaga's top men's and women's novice eight boats won their respective races on the day. Gonzaga's novice women won their heat with a time of 7:02 easily defeating second place Oregon by 38 seconds. Gonzaga's men's novice boat won its heat with a time of 6:26, a 17-second advantage over second place Western Washington. Gonzaga also won in the Women's Varsity 8 race with a time of 7:17. Western Washington finished second in that race with a time of 7:21.

Gonzaga will return to action next Saturday morning when the Bulldogs host Western Washington in a duel race at Medical Lake, WA.
