Women's Rowing Completes Competition at Head of American Regatta

Gold River, CA - In its second regatta of the fall season, the Saint Mary's women's varsity eight finished 16th out of 17 schools in the Open Eight competition at the Head of the American Saturday afternoon at Lake Natoma. Saint Mary's also competed in the novice eight event and posted a sixth place finish out of 12 schools.

In the Open Eight competition, the Gaels' varsity eight finished the three-mile course with a time of 19:47. The women's novice completed the same three-mile race in a time of 22:50. The SMC rowing team will return to competition on November 6 when it participates in the Newport Autumn Fall Festival in Newport, CA.
