Junior Al Garland secured All-American honors earlier today as he posted a 6-4, 6-4 win over Mark Parsons of Tennessee in a second round NCAA Championships match at Henry Feild Stadium in Athens, Georgia.
Garland will face Ajay Ramaswami of Louisiana State in a third round match on Saturday. Ramaswami is a No. 9-16 seed in the 64-player singles draw. First round doubles matches will be played later today. Pepperdine will be represented by juniors Sebastien Graeff and Stefan Suter. The tandem will face the No. 2 seed team of Matias Boeker and Travis Parrott of host Georgia.
Graeff earned All-American honors in doubles last season after advancing to the quarterfinal round with Anthony Ross.
