Sept. 7-Freshman Luke Holmes blasted a Gabe Sturm cross into the goal with :3 remaining in regulation to give USF a 3- victory over Drury University in the Memphis diadora Classic Saturday evening. The Dons, -1, also got goals from Josh Hansen and Gabe Sturm.lt;pgt; lt;Pgt;13; Drury, outshot 0-1 by USF, got on the board in the 4th minute on a goal by Clay Covillion, but USF took the lead on goals by Hansen and Sturm. Hansen scored his fourth goal of the season on a great pass by Mike Varas at1:8and Sturm blasted a yard free-kick home at 3:39.lt;pgt; lt;Pgt;13; USF controlled play but Drury was able to equalize when Ian Sheppard nodded home a throw-in by Mike Myers at 68:1, setting the stage for Holmes' gamewinner.lt;pgt; lt;Pgt;13; "It was tough playing two games against two really physical teams less than a day apart," said Dons' coach Erik Visser.
