Saint Mary's took the lead in the first half when Alex Monsalve set up Orum for a beautiful shot to the left corner. Orum's score at the 37:40 minute mark gave him his first goal of the season and SMC a 1-0 lead. Sacramento State would tie the score up at the 81:1 minute mark when David Fraser sent his header to the upper left corner.
