Head Coach Brad Holland: Opening Remarks: "We had lost both games in conference to USF, but what I told my players is once you come to the conference tournament, your slate is clean. Nobody cares what you've done in the past and we're a team that can compete in this thing. We played well against Pepperdine and so we got another shot at USF. We played a good all-around game, we shot the ball really well again and we beat them on the boards."

On Playing Gonzaga in the Semifinals for the Second Consecutive Year: "We're looking for a different outcome. We've played well to get here. We wanted another chance against USF and now we've got another chance at Gonzaga. We're right where we set out to be. Now we need to step up and take advantage of our opportunity."

On Danny Brown: "For Danny Brown, who hadn't played, to come off the bench and hit two threes that were so clutch toward our win was huge."

On Rebounding in the Second Half: "In the first half a lot of the balls fell to the other side of the rim, and in the second half the balls they just came my way luckily."

On His Ankle: "It's been bothering me a little bit, but I'm doing what I can to take care of it and it should be fine tomorrow."

On Playing Three Games in Three Days: "In my opinion, for our team it's an advantage. We're a young team that builds off confidence. I wouldn't want it any other way than to go into the Gonzaga game with two wins. We're young and we feed off wins. In my opinion, it's perfect."

On Danny Brown: "Danny hasn't been playing much lately, but he knows that when he comes into the game his role is to shoot. Every time he steps onto the floor he shoots with confidence, and tonight it was going for him. When he can do that, it gives a huge boost of confidence

Head Coach Jessie Evans:
Opening Remarks: "I really thought that the first half we came out with a lot of intensity. We really took a lot out of this basketball team by playing the way that we do. We caused them to turn the ball over and got some transition looks, and as a result we had a double-digit lead leading into the half. I thought a bad omen was to give up that three-point basket right at the end of the half. I did not like that because it was as if we took a play off. We had talked about not taking plays off. In the first half, we did a good job of covering their shooters into the corners. In the first half, we were able to help them from the bench by screaming 'shooter coming, they are going to their overload'. In the second half, you don't have that advantage. To their credit, they knocked those shots down. And when you knock those threes down, it's like hitting a home run. The other thing that really hurt us was the offensive rebounds."

"They did a good job crashing the boards in the second half and getting second shots. Maybe we got a little winded. Maybe I should have played my big guys a little more. The other side of it is I think we made some very poor decisions on some break opportunities. We didn't take advantage of our transition opportunities or cash in on those broken floor moments."

On San Diego's chances against Gonzaga tomorrow: "In tournament play, anything can happen. Forty minutes is forty minutes. They are going to go out there and play. On the other side of that, I like the way our league is set up where the top two teams get a bye into the semis. You should be rewarded that way. "
