SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Twenty-one WCC baseball players were selected on the first day of the MLB First Year Player Draft. San Diego's Brian Matusz was selected with the fourth overall pick by the Baltimore Orioles, while San Francisco's Evan Fredrickson was taken with the 35th overall pick in the Compensation First Round by Milwaukee. Pepperdine's Chase d'Arnaud and San Diego's Josh Romanski were selected in the fourth round by Pittsburgh and Milwaukee, respectively.
