West Coast Conference Corporate Partner Program
The West Coast Conference has developed a corporate sponsorship program that offers companies more flexibility in their marketing efforts. In partnering with the WCC, your company will gain access to the league's target customers and benefit from being associated with the West Coast Conference. Our program allows companies to tailor their marketing needs through a variety of mediums including:
TV, multi-media, print, signage, on-site championship placement, grassroots promotions and research opportunities.

WCC Image
The West Coast Conference is one of the most successful Division I Conferences in the nation. The WCC's philosophy of winning without compromising academic excellence has resulted in many athletic and academic accolades, including 21 National Championship trophies and numerous Academic All-Americans. The WCC ranks among the nations most recognized and successful athletic conferences including:
the ACC, Big 10, Big-12, and Pac-10. The West Coast Conference has long been known for the success of both its men's and women's soccer programs, which have a combined eight NCAA titles and 36 College Cup appearances.

The WCC is arguably the top Division I conference without football. Of the league's six round robin sports, three rank in the top 7 in RPI among the nation's 31 Division I conferences. In 2007-08, eight of the league's 13 sponsored sports sent multiple teams to the post season.

WCC Target Market
The West Coast Conference and its institutions work together to develop a detailed marketing campaign that best utilizes each individual institution's resources in an effort to reach the WCC's target markets. WCC institutions target over 380,000 alumni, institutional benefactors, young families, local youth groups and organizations.

WCC in the Community
The West Coast Conference consists of eight private religious institutions that, through their athletic departments, encourage student-athletes to give back to the community. Individually, teams are involved in community service in a variety of ways: fund raisers, volunteering time at local charities, mentoring, and welcoming groups to games.

Television Opportunities
Who we work with:
The West Coast Conference television package routinely includes broadcasts on the national and regional level. The WCC signed a five-year agreement with ESPN for extensive coverage on ESPN's family of networks.

The WCC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament reached new heights in regards to television exposure as well. ESPN will televise both men's semifinals and the championship game on ESPN or ESPN2, each of which reaches over 89 million homes.

The WCC also has relationships with CSTV and Comcast SportsNet. These outlets, along with ESPN and FSN, allow the West Coast Conference to give additional exposure to some of its nationally ranked Olympic sports such as volleyball (RPI #5), women's soccer (RPI #4) and men's soccer (RPI #6).

Commercial Advertising
The WCC offers several advertising opportunities including 30 second commercial spots in WCC produced and ESPNU broadcasts. Our relationships with the leaders in sports broadcasting allow corporate partners the opportunity to reach a broad national audience.

Our website is a comprehensive look at all things WCC. The website provides the latest WCC news, scores, league TV schedule, upcoming events, links to our member schools and the WCC merchandise store. The WCC website will undergo a redesign during in the Fall of 2007 and expects steadily increasing page views and unique visitors.

West Coast Conference Basketball Tournament Game Programs

The Official Souvenir Program is a must for any basketball fan during the WCC's premier event. The league tournament consists of 14 thrilling men and women's basketball games over a five-day period. A corporate partner can receive exposure with the following:

  • Name and logo in color on the front cover
  • Inside front cover/Inside back cover/Back cover 4-color advertising option
  • One full-page welcome letter or corporate message in black and white

Signage Opportunities

Official WCC Sponsorship
As an official WCC sponsor, your company will receive signage at all WCC Championships, priority signage at the men's and women's basketball tournament and banners at regular season games featured in the WCC TV package.

Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament
In addition to traditional media, companies can add championship sponsorship signage to their marketing mix. This is a very effective method of reaching your target market for a lengthy period of time. Signage at the basketball tournament includes courtside signs and arena banners.

Other Championships
While the men's and women's basketball tournament is our premier sporting event, the WCC has five other championships (most of them take two or more days to complete). This is a perfect opportunity for a company to advertise to future consumers with signage and/or product placement.

Public Address Announcements
At the basketball tournament and select regular season contests, corporate partners may select 10 to 30 second public address announcements and acknowledgements to be read at various times throughout the duration of the sports contest.

Grassroots Promotions and Research Opportunities
On-Site Promotional Opportunities Corporate partners can take advantage of being a championship sponsor by utilizing the venue for grassroots promotions and product research. This is a great way to witness first hand reactions to your product as well as develop a personal relationship with your consumers.

Awards and Scholarships

Awards Program:
The West Coast Conference offers the following awards and scholarships to its student-athletes and institutions:

Commissioner's Cup and Men's and Women's All Sports Awards
The recipient of the Commissioner's Cup is based on a point system reflecting the place finish of each team in conference play. The Men's and Women's All-Sports Awards are given to the schools that accumulate the most points within each particular gender. The institution with the highest point total after combining the men's and women's point totals will be honored with the Commissioner's Cup. The League office tabulates the standings and generates a press release three times a year; in January, March and June.

Men's and Women's Scholar-Athletes of the Year
Each year the West Coast Conference selects the top men's and women's scholar-athletes and names them the WCC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. This is the highest honor the league awards and the recipients reflect the WCC's finest student-athletes based on athletics, academics and community service. To be eligible for selection, an athlete must have completed his or her athletic eligibility, be a starter or key reserve in a varsity sport and carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Commissioner's Honor Roll
At the conclusion of each academic year the conference will recognize all student-athletes that possess at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.

Players of the Week
Weekly honor goes to the top male and female student-athlete in each sport as determined by the WCC office.

Player of the Month
Monthly honor goes to the top male and female student-athlete in each sport as determined by the WCC office.

Players of the Year
Postseason honor to the top male and female student-athlete in each sport as voted on by each school's head coach. This award could include defensive and newcomer of the year selections.

All-League Teams
Postseason sport-specific honor based on a student-athlete's season-long performance or championship finish. This could also include the WCC all-freshman teams.

All-Tournament Teams
Postseason honor based on a student-athlete's championship performance.

Coach of the Year
Postseason honor to the top coach in each sport as voted on by the head coach from each school.

Scholarship Program:

Men's and Women's Postgraduate Scholarship
The WCC grants two postgraduate scholarships to one male and one female student-athlete to assist in their postgraduate education. The student-athlete must have a minimum 3.5 GPA, demonstrate a significant contribution on the varsity level in a WCC sponsored sport, have participated in a WCC sponsored sport for a minimum of two years and must have a record of participating in campus or community activities. The recipients must have completed his/her athletic eligibility and must enroll in a graduate or professional school within 15 months of graduation.

Corporate Partners receive to VIP Parking (when available) at our championship events.

Premium Tickets
Premium tickets and use of a hospitality room is the perfect way to entertain your clients, family, friends and employees during a championship event like our basketball tournament. As a corporate partner, you will receive an agreed upon amount of premium tickets to all games, VIP parking and access to the hospitality room.

Hospitality Room Privileges and Hospitality Room Rental
Our hospitality room features catered food, drinks and entertainment in a warm energetic atmosphere that will allow your company to mingle with the West Coast Conference family. Your company also has the option to host private VIP parties and/or sponsor a group in available hospitality rooms. Using the hospitality room is also a great opportunity to add additional signage and gain logo recognition from the West Coast Conference.
