Eric Bridgeland
Eric Bridgeland, a former highly successful head coach at the NCAA Division III level, is now in his second season as an assistant men's basketball coach at Pepperdine.

Bridgeland served as the head coach at the University of Puget Sound, located in Tacoma, Wash., for five seasons before moving to Malibu, and has 13 years of collegiate coaching experience. He serves as Pepperdine's recruiting coordinator in addition to scouting opponents, assisting in conditioning and performing other coaching activities.

In five years at Puget Sound (2002-06), his teams captured three consecutive Northwest Conference championships (2004, 2005 and 2006), advanced to the Division III NCAA Championship “Sweet 16” in 2004 and 2005 and the “Elite Eight” in 2006. The Loggers finished all three years ranked #1 in the West Region.

Bridgeland was tabbed the Northwest Conference's Coach of the Year following the 2003-04 and 2005-06 seasons.

Bridgeland compiled an overall record of 92-39 (.702), including a 58-22 mark (.725) in Northwest Conference play. Over his final three seasons, the Loggers went 69-10 (.873) against Division III competition, posting the highest winning percentage in the country, and were 44-4 (.916) in conference play.

Julie Rousseau
The fifth head coach in Pepperdine women's basketball history, Julie Rousseau is now in her fourth season with the Waves. The former head coach of the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks took the Waves to the 2006 NCAA Tournament and has the team poised for future success.

In three previous seasons, Rousseau has compiled an overall record of 40-51, including a 21-21 mark in conference play.

She became the fastest Pepperdine women's basketball coach to take the team to the NCAA Tournament, accomplishing the feat in just her second season at the helm of the Waves' program in 2006. As the fourth seed in the WCC Tournament, Rousseau's squad became the lowest-seeded team to win the title and earn the conference's automatic bid to “the Dance.”

The Waves have won at least one game in each of their three WCC Tournament appearances under Rousseau and are 5-2 at the event. After beating top-seeded Santa Clara in the championship game in 2006 and earning an unexpected spot in the NCAA Tournament, the 15th-seeded Waves were matched up against second-seeded Oklahoma at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo.

Rousseau holds the distinction of being the only Pepperdine coach to win their first conference game, as the Waves defeated San Diego on the road, 78-56, on Jan. 6, 2005.
